Valcambi Suisse
Valcambi is a Swiss precious-metals refiner in Balerna, Ticino, founded in 1961. It is an LBMA Good Delivery refiner and one of the world's largest bullion bar producers. Best known for the patented CombiBar — a 50-gram gold bar pre-scored into fifty 1-gram segments that snap apart by hand.
Valcambi is among the largest precious-metals refineries in the world by output. Its standard 1 kg gold and silver bars are the wholesale workhorses of European bullion markets.
The Valcambi CombiBar, introduced in 2011, was a meaningful innovation: a 50 g gold bar pre-scored into fifty 1 g segments, allowing the holder to snap off small quantities by hand without tooling. Popular with privacy-focused holders preparing for barter or partial liquidity.
Valcambi serves a large white-label market: many other brands' retail bars are physically produced by Valcambi under contract.
