Gold & silver to crypto calculator
How much Bitcoin, Monero, USDT, USDC, or Ethereum does it take to buy a troy ounce of gold or silver — at live spot, no premium added. Updates every 60 seconds.
These figures use live spot only. Retail bullion always trades above spot — typical premiums: 4-6% for 1 oz sovereign coins, 3-5% for 1 oz minted bars, 2.5% for 1 kg bars. Use the catalog to see the actual price you'd pay.
How to read the result
The number you see is pure spot-to-spot conversion. Retail bullion always trades above spot — there is no dealer in the world selling 1 oz of gold for the spot price. Typical premiums:
- 1 oz sovereign coins (Eagle, Maple, Britannia, Philharmonic, Krugerrand): 4-6% over spot.
- 1 oz minted bars (PAMP Lady Fortuna, Argor-Heraeus KINEBAR): 4-5%.
- 1 oz cast bars (PAMP Cast): 3-4%.
- 100 g - 1 kg bars (Valcambi, Argor-Heraeus): 2-3%.
- 1 oz silver coins: 18-25%.
- 10 oz - 1 kg silver bars: 8-12%.

Frequently asked questions
How much Bitcoin for an ounce of gold?+
Divide the current gold spot price by the BTC/USD rate. The calculator above does it for you against the live COMEX gold feed (refreshed every 60 seconds) and the live BTC/USD rate. Retail bullion is always above spot — expect 4-6% premium for 1 oz sovereign coins after that.
How much silver for 1 BTC?+
Divide the live BTC/USD rate by the live silver spot price. The calculator computes the live ratio. At a BTC of $100,000 and silver of $30/oz, one BTC buys ~3,300 oz of silver at spot — but retail silver coins carry 18-25% premium, so expect ~2,700-3,000 oz delivered after premium and shipping.
Does the calculator include premium?+
No. The calculator shows pure spot-to-spot conversion to help you frame the value. Actual purchase prices include premium (4-6% on coins, 3-5% on minted bars, 2-3% on kilo bars), shipping, and insurance — see the product pages for delivered prices.
Does Monero / XMR offer different math?+
The conversion math is the same (USD value in, USD value out). The difference is that XMR-paid orders at Ounceo receive an automatic 1.5% discount on the order total, which is applied at the quote step, not in this calculator.
