Royal Canadian Mint
The Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) is a Canadian Crown corporation founded in 1908. It strikes the Gold and Silver Maple Leaf, among the purest mass-produced bullion coins in the world at .9999 fineness, with Bullion DNA anti-counterfeit verification, radial line security pattern, and micro-engraved security features.
The RCM is a sovereign mint owned by the Government of Canada. It strikes the Maple Leaf series — the canonical four-nines fine gold (.9999) bullion coin since 1979 and the .99999 silver/platinum variants in subsequent years.
Bullion DNA is the RCM's database of optical signatures: every coin is fingerprinted at production, and authentic Maples can be verified by authorized dealers using an optical scanner against the database.
The radial line security feature — fine concentric lines machined into the polished field — is visible to the naked eye and impossible to replicate with standard die-striking equipment.
